Ignition systems can be supplied as a complete unit or customer can be supplied with modified Boyer-Bransden rotor and stator plate to suit Triumph, BSA or Norton twins. No wiring changes required! Customer must specifiy type of ignition system being used (analogue or digital). Pre-unit engines must use a Kirby Robotham or similar replacement for the magneto with 60 watt generator and conversion to 12v electrics. Alton alternators as a replacement for Lucas equipment are highly recommended for pre-unit engines unless they have an alternator. Ignition installation, setup and timing follow manufacturer's instructions. Note that ignition system is not like the one described when first crank was built; they now use only a single pickup and igniton 'black box.'
